Transition Year New York Trip – Students from Coola continue to have an amazing time in the big apple despite the interruption caused by hurricane Sandy. We have experienced the true spirit of New Yorkers. Our hosts Thornton Donovan staff students and families have shown true kindness and welcomed us with open arms. Our program included the Brooklyn bridge the 911 memorial, West Point and an American football game, Times square, the Museum of Natural History and Rockefeller Center among others. Tomorrow we hope to visit the UN. However it is the friendships we have formed and the memories we have that make the trip a once in a lifetime experience.
