S.P.H.E.

In conjunction with the Department of Education and the NWHB (Health Promotion Service), we are committed to introducing SPHE as a subject for all students. This course seeks to enhance students` self-esteem and promote positive healthy attitudes on issues such as smoking and alcohol abuse,drugs misuse, homework and study skills, and decision-making skills as well as safety issues, for example bullying. Through these classes, students will be afforded the opportunity to learn and discuss the implications and importance of these and other issues. We reinforce the message that bullying is not tolerated and our constant school grounds supervision by staff along with CCTV supports this policy.

Junior Certificate

Pupils take a total of eleven subjects for Junior Cert examination.
